Timich

Privacy Policy

Privacy policy for Timich, including local storage, Immich connection data, media access, and Timich Reach remote browsing.

This policy explains what information Timich uses when you browse your self-hosted Immich library.

Information the App Uses

  • Server URL that you enter for your Immich instance.
  • Connection credentials such as API key, email address, password, bearer token, and Timich Agent pairing information if you choose to connect to your server or agent.
  • Media metadata and media files requested from your Immich server, Timich Agent, or Timich Reach route for browsing, playback, sharing, and saving.
  • Local app settings, such as whether the connection screen should be skipped on launch.
  • Purchase and restore information from the App Store when you use Timich Reach.

How Data Is Used

  • To connect to the Immich server or Timich Agent that you specify.
  • To authenticate your session with your Immich server or paired Timich Agent.
  • To load your library thumbnails, photos, and videos.
  • To support sharing and saving items that you choose to export from the app.
  • To keep basic local preferences on your device.
  • To activate or restore Timich Reach access through the App Store when you choose to use Remote Browsing.

Local Storage and Caching

  • Connection credentials may be stored securely on your device so you do not need to enter them every time.
  • Thumbnail images may be cached locally on your device to improve scrolling performance.
  • Timich uses local device storage only for app operation and performance.

Photo Library Permission

If you choose to save a photo or video from Timich to your iPhone or iPad, the system will ask for permission to add items to your photo library.

Timich requests add-only photo library access for this feature.

Timich Reach

Timich Reach is a remote browsing feature for your own paired Timich Agent.

When you use Timich Reach, Timich servers may process activation, subscription, pairing, routing, and relay requests needed to connect your device to your paired agent. Timich Reach is not a hosted photo library. The service is designed to relay requests for your own Immich library instead of importing your library into Timich-controlled storage.

Data Sharing

  • Timich connects to the Immich server, Timich Agent, or Timich Reach route that you choose.
  • Timich does not require a developer-operated account for the basic local Immich browsing experience.
  • When you connect directly to your Immich server or Timich Agent, media data is exchanged between your device and the server or agent you choose.
  • When you use Timich Reach, Timich servers may relay activation, subscription, pairing, routing, catalog, preview, detail-preview, and related remote browsing requests between your device and your paired Timich Agent. Timich Reach is not a hosted photo library: Timich does not import your library, create a cloud copy of your catalog, or provide general cloud storage for your media.
  • App Store purchase and subscription information is handled through Apple and used to activate or restore Timich Reach access.
  • Timich is not intended to sell your personal data.

Data Retention and Deletion

  • If you want Timich to open directly to your library after setup, use Skip this screen next time on the connection screen, or open the Settings app, choose Timich, and enable Skip Connection Screen on Launch in the Account section.
  • Locally stored connection info can be removed from within the app by using Clear Saved Connection Info on the connection screen.
  • Cached images may remain on the device until removed by the system or replaced by newer cached data.
  • If you want data removed from your Immich server, manage that data through your own Immich installation.
  • If you use Timich Reach, subscription management is handled through the App Store.
